The team members of No Place Like Home Pet Sitting & Dog Walking are passionate about pets! Our employees are mature professionals and have years of pet care experience and a genuine love of animals. For your peace of mind, all team members have been thoroughly background checked, are bonded, and covered under our liability and Workmen’s Compensation insurance policies.

Founder and Owner

Nancy Mercurio founded No Place Like Home Pet Sitting & Dog Walking in 2010 after leaving the corporate world of human resources to pursue her life-long dream of working with companion animals. Nancy is owned by multi-cat household and a retired racing greyhound. Her specialty is senior and special needs pets, and she has received pet first aid and CPR certification. In her free time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, travel, the shore, yard sales, flea markets and music.

Julieann was born and raised in South Jersey, and is currently residing in Collingswood with her two cats, Buffy and Dixie. She recently received her B.A. degree in Communication Studies, but she prefers to communicate with animals over people sometimes. An animal lover her whole life, Julieann has grown up around cats and dogs, and loves taking care of them. Aside from hanging out with animals, she loves going to concerts, being around her family and friends, and crafting and decorating.

Allen is from New Bern, North Carolina. He moved to Collingswood to attend Rowan College at Gloucester County and is studying Excercise Science with a Minor in Nutrition. He has two puppies named Luna and Kobe who he loves so so so much. His favorite part about dog walking and pet sitting is meeting and interacting with a variety of different pets.

Claudia joined our team in Dec.of 2018. Raised in Haddonfield, she now resides in Haddon Heights. Claudia has always had a great love and compassion for animals. Early in life she volunteered for the SPCA shelter in Lindenwold. 6 years ago she began volunteering for a local TNR (trap, neuter, return) group which addressed the needs of feral and community cat population. She now serves as a board member of Wandering Whiskers Rescue. In addition to being a board member, she still actively does TNR and also fosters cats and kittens for Wandering Whiskers Rescue. She finds working with animals one of the most gratifying aspects of her life.

Christina joined NPLH in March of 2019. Christina was born and raised in South Jersey and has been pet sitting/dog walking since 2017. A lifelong dog lover, Christina also works with special needs children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 8-year old Golden Retriever, the beach, practicing yoga and working out.

Julia joined our team in November 2019. She owns two dogs of her own, Snoopy (Schnoodle) and Luna (mini Dachshund). She has grown up with dogs and cats her whole life. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology and Sociology. During the day she is an elder victims’ social worker, but on the nights and weekend she is excited to come into this field to work with families’ cats and dogs in the South Jersey area. She says with the busy day to day schedule the family pet is important and viable part of the family. She wants to be that person who can help relieve someone who is working or going on vacation to spend time with their family pet without having to worry about their animal/s.
